It could kind of calm them both down for the night and help with the insomnia. Peter always needs to be calmed down in some manner; he's just got too much energy.

The way she leans in helped calm his nerves a little. He winds his arm around her waist, pulling her close. He bows his head to listen to her, whispering because in the dark, it seems like he should whisper, despite the fact that the guide is talking at a normal level.
