Not a bad thing at all. He appreciates it. Tea was always something that Peter drank to calm down. It just felt soothing to him. It probably didn't help that he associated tea at night with Aunt Mae and coffee in the morning.
He's very nervous. He could be messing things up so badly right and that's the last thing he wants. He'd rather keep things exactly the way they are than ruin them.

He's not really listening to the guide but when they start to move forward, into the darkness, Peter holds her hand a little tighter, walking close enough that her shoulder brushes his. When he speaks again, his voice is a whisper. "I mean I like spending time with you too. You're probably my favorite person to spend time with."
